What Life360's free version includes

Life360's App Store listing says the free app gives you "Advanced Location Sharing, Location History, Crash Detection, and Place Alerts".1 The listing doesn't give the free version's limits on places or history, so check those in the app.

Here's what the US App Store listing says each membership adds.1 Each tier includes everything in the one before it.

MembershipListed priceWhat the listing says it includes
Silver$9.992 places with unlimited alerts, 2 days of location history, Crash Detection, a family driving summary, data breach alerts, SOS help alerts
Gold$16.9930 days of location history, unlimited place alerts, individual driver reports, Crash Detection with emergency dispatch and live agent support, 24/7 roadside assistance, $250 stolen phone protection, ID theft protection, $25,000 stolen fund reimbursement

What you're paying for

Much of what the higher tiers add is insurance-style protection: roadside help, stolen phone and identity cover, and towing. The location features that change between tiers are mostly how many places get alerts, how many days of history you keep, and driver reports for each person.
