The short answer
No. Life360's own blog says it doesn't send a notification every time a Circle member checks your location.1 So you can't tell from Life360 when, or how often, someone looked.
What your Circle does see
- If you turn off location sharing in a Circle, the others in that Circle see "Location Sharing Paused" under your name.2
- If location is off in your phone's settings, they see "Location permissions off".3
- If you're logged out, they see "Logged out of Life360".3
- If your app loses connection, your icon on their map turns grey.3
What about Bubbles?
A Bubble shares an approximate area, up to 25 miles across, for up to 6 hours. Your Circle sees only that you're in a Bubble. Any Circle member can burst it if they're worried, which shows your location and notifies the whole Circle, and a Circle Admin can turn Bubbles off for members.4
How Outft handles it
We think a kid should know when they're being checked on. It's the difference between feeling trusted and feeling watched.
Kids see the checks
In Outft, a parent is a Honcho. A kid can always see exactly what each Honcho can see, and when and how often they checked.
Who can see me
One screen lists everyone who can see your location and exactly what each of them sees, and lets you change it.
A break from Buds
Ghost mode pauses sharing with Buds. A kid's Honchos can still see them, and the app always says so.
Approximate by default
Buds see nothing until you share with them, and then only your neighborhood unless you choose to show more.
