Cancel in the Life360 app
Life360's help center gives these steps:1
- Tap Settings in the top left corner.
- Tap Account, then Cancel Membership.
- Tap Yes, Confirm Cancellation. The app sends you to the App Store or Google Play.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. If you're still in the 7-day free trial, tap Cancel Free Trial.
Only the person who subscribed can cancel. If you don't see the option, another Circle member may be the subscriber.1
On iPhone (App Store)
Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Life360, and tap Cancel Subscription.1
On Android (Google Play)
In Google Play, tap your profile icon in the top right, then Payments & subscriptions, then Life360, and tap Cancel Subscription.1
Google Play also lets you pause a monthly membership for one, two or three months, up to three times in 12 months. Yearly memberships can't be paused.2
If you paid on Life360.com
Log in on Life360.com, tap Manage Membership, then Cancel Subscription.1
What cancelling does and doesn't do
- Deleting the app doesn't stop billing. Life360 says deleting your account, deleting the app or leaving a Circle won't cancel your membership.3
- No money back for the rest of the period. Life360 doesn't refund unused time, and your membership stays active until the paid period ends.1
- The free app has no subscription. Life360's basic service is free to download and use,4 so these steps are only for paid memberships.
Deleting your Life360 account
In the app: Settings, Account, Delete Account. Life360 emails you a link to confirm. It says deleting your account permanently deletes all history and driving events, and can't be undone.3
Turning off location sharing stops new updates, but Life360 says it doesn't delete the location history it has already collected.5
If you're switching
Outft is coming soon to iPhone and Android, both on the same day. It's free to download, kids are always free, and there are no ads. Location is end-to-end encrypted, so we can't see where anyone is, and location history is your choice: none, 24 hours or 7 days.
A tip for any switch: set up the new app before you turn off the old one, so nobody in the family goes dark in between. What to look for in a Life360 alternative
